Take the daily shuttle bus from outside the Grand Palais to discover Parc Asterix, the city’s zaniest theme park. Live like a Gaul for the day as you and the kids take a trip through time with Romans, Ancient Greeks and Vikings , and explore the streets of Paris from the Middle Ages till the 19th century.
There are two separate exhibitions for ages 2 - 7 or 5 - 12 at the thrilling Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie. This exciting museum in the centre of the city’s largest landscaped park unlocks the secrets of science, and children can try their hand at house building or play with the water fountain.
The Palais de la découverte takes a dynamic approach to science and the museum has several unique spaces with lots of exciting features. These include the Planetarium where children can learn all about astronomy and the Acoustics Room where they can discover music and sound.
Grévin is one of the top family outings in Paris. See historical and current famous figures up close in a magnificent setting at this popular waxwork museum.
The Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle opened its wonderful Galeries des Enfants in 2010 and the permanent exhibition is a great introduction to natural history for kids aged 6 – 12 when accompanied by adults.
The Musée en Herbe takes a fun approach to art and makes culture accessible to children through workshops and exhibitions. Kids under the age of 12 will enjoy making stencils and collages in a cool atmosphere that has been created with families in mind.
Created in 1860, the Jardin d'acclimatation is still a favourite attraction for families. As well as animals including bears, lions, monkey and deer, there are workshops for children and a little train that offers rides to the main entrance from Porte Maillot.
Parc Zoologique de Paris offers an innovative zoo experience. Children will enjoy travelling around the world to see animals in their natural environments such as the Sahel-Sudan savannah plain, the Patagonian Pampa and Madagascar.
