New stage presentations in Paris are welcomed by all of the staff at Hotel Opera Lafayette, so we’re thrilled to hear that one of our favourite establishments, the famous Folies Bergère will present ‘Love Circus’ from October 28th. Folies Bergère is one of the most glamorous and exciting cabaret theatres in the city, and for two centuries it has lead the way in entertainment and glamour. Since it opened in 1869, the Folies Bergère' has delighted audiences with new and outstanding shows. It launched the careers of legendary entertainers like the Belle Otero and Josephine Baker and many famous artistes have graced its stage including Frank Sinatra, Yves Montand and Elton John.
Love Circus opens on October 28th and it has all the ingredients that make a superb Folies Bergère musical. Telling the story of two sisters who have vowed never to fall in love to avoid an eerie curse that affects the female members of their family, Love Circus blends music, dance and acrobatics in a cabaret that is influenced by circus style entertainment.
As this highly entertaining story unfolds, the sisters have been enjoying life as cabaret owners for ten years when another sister appears, causing them to question the rules they’ve lived with for so long.
Stéphane Jarny’s outstanding production will feature Sofia Mountassir in the role of Octave alongside The Voice 3 finalist Maximilien Philippe as Knife and Lola Ces as Rose. World class acrobats, magnificent stage sets and a great score ensure that this is one musical comedy that you won’t want to miss

Running until 2nd January 2015, ‘Sous le plus grand chapiteau du monde’ at the Louvre presents a magnificent installation in neon by artist Claude Lévêque. Part of an ongoing project, Lévêque’s red neon lightning bolt is a work in progress and the artist will be on hand for the entire exhibition as work extends to the moat and keep below the Louvre.
