Paris hotel breakfast buffet is a phrase guaranteed to whet the appetites of visitors to the City of Light as it promises the best possible start to your day. In keeping with this fine French tradition, the Hotel Opera Lafayette offers a breakfast buffet boasting a wide range of fresh products from which you can make your choice. Our bright, airy and inviting breakfast area is just the place to enjoy this most important meal, but if you prefer, we are happy to serve your breakfast in your guest room during the allotted time.
The word buffet, although long adopted across the world, is actually French and refers to a long sideboard which has drawers and cupboards. The extensive surfaces of such furniture was very handy for serving food, and so the word evolved to refer to the means by which food could be served. This modern definition grew in popularity around the beginning of the 19th century and owes something to the Swedish Brannvinsbord of the mid 16th century. The great advantage of buffet meals is that the diner has a good deal of choice, and we at the Hotel Opera Lafayette certainly respect this advantage.
We offer breakfast from 7.00 to 10.00 a.m. including individual breads (petits pains), pastries (croissants and pain au chocolat) cereals, ham and salami, cheese (Gouda and Emmental), boiled eggs, natural yoghurt, fruit salad, stewed fruit and jam and honey. We also have a selection of invigorating hot drinks such as coffee, tea and hot chocolate, plus refreshing orange juice. A continental breakfast buffet is indeed an attractive and appealing way to serve a great breakfast to our valued guests.
Our delightful, fresh and bright hotel is situated close to the Opera District and the transport hub of the Gare du Nord train station. After fortifying yourself with our delicious buffet breakfast you will be ready to explore the delights of Paris. Breakfast is included in the room rate at the Hotel Opera Lafayette.
