The best current exhibitions in Paris are too numerous for us to list here, so we've whittled the selection down to three excellent exhibitions that we feel you'll really enjoy.

Monumenta 2014 : The strange City, at the Grand Palais

Monumenta 2014 by Russian artists Ilya and Emilia Kaabakov, runs until the 22 July. Ilya and Emilia Kabakov are gifted artists, well known for their large scale creations and colossal installations. "The Strange City" is the title and theme for Monumenta 2014, and spectators are invited to enter a maze, to a make-believe town, where inside all things peculiar and odd reside. This exhibition is being held at the Grand Palais.

Paris 1900: the City of Entertainment, at the Petit Palais

Paris 1900: The City of Entertainment, takes you back in time, to a space when the Paris Exposition Universelle was preparing for the entrance into the 20th century. It was at this time that Paris was represented across the globe, as the place of magnificence, luxury and sophistication. The exhibition features various paintings, costumes, art, jewellery, films, furniture and other artefacts, while illustrating Parisian elegance, cultural vibrancy and its technical innovative expertise of the time, through selected artefacts. The exhibition, hosted at Petit Palais, will be showing until the 17 August.

The Art of the Marvel Super heroes, at Art Ludique-Le Musee

Legendary Marvel characters, like Iron Man, Hulk and Spiderman are under the spotlight, in The Art of the Marvel Super Heroes exhibition, running until 31 August, at Art Ludique-Le Musee. The exhibition displays historic plates that match original comics, concept drawings and incredible illustrations, used in more recent cinematic Marvel movies.
